His angle here has been to entertain himself for all theses years. He's been on other boards doing the same. 
All we need is one big announcement of partnership with some South American company that is involved in boosting production of Lithium. The Lithium have crash, but those involved in DLE will come on top. Those mining companies that are exploring have no chance anymore because DLE is the way to go and big investors and institutions know this.
