Armchair Coaches There are those on forums who claim to hold no position on the stock they talk about and do nothing but criticize.
They state nothing but negatives and attack those who are invested to deter their voice from being heard and their reasoning for remaining invested.
Why?
If you are going to read forums you need to understand the difference between a Long Position and a Short Position.
Long Positions are monetary bets that a shareprice will increase. Shorts are monetary bets that a shareprice will go down.
If you don't research this topic you will always risk falling for intentionally misleading information posted to a forum.
The only defence is to know everything possible about the company you are invested in and to research anything posted to a forum prior to considering a trade.
To go in the offensive you can research topics such as:
"advantages of buying a shorted stock
"short seller when the hunter becomes the hunted"
"What is a stock short squeeze"
"What is a stock gamma squeeze"
The reality of the markets is that it involves money, large amounts of money, this does not bring out the best qualities in many and those who try to cheat others have no moral compass what so ever. Karma ultimately catches up with these folks but you need to be sure not to fall victim by researching and doing your own Due diligence.
As for HEXO and TLRY. I select companies with great products and somewhat aggressive CEOs running the show. SSL was too aggressive during the COVID years and positioned too early for US legalization, leaving Hexo cash strapped for too long. Irwin Simon and the TLRY team took over Hexo and it continues today under the TLRY banner.
Irwin Simon diversified TLRY across cannabis and alcohol and is taking a very clever approach to the US.
I have, and will never retract, respect for those folks who try to better themselves. For those who work hard, research and do their homework in order to do well in the markets.
There is more respect given to those who try than those who sit on the sidelines and do nothing, try nothing, risk nothing.
To those who play, i suggest you play with small dollars / small risk due to the fact that you could easily be faked out into losing money.
Kind Regards
