Two eventsYesterday, the North American financial world was turned upside down by news that strongly suggested we are entering a recession, perhaps a bad one, one long overdue. This is good news for precious metals and their miners, including explorers.
Earlier in the same week, Mexico's new president indicated that she would nationalize mines there. Investors in those properties will be forced to find other mining opportunities elsewhere. Much of that interest will focus on the American Southwest, including Nevada and Arizona, where NL holds claims.
I am not saying these events will be a boon for NL, but they can't hurt. I'll continue to hold my few shares based on this company's holdings of Reyna Silver stock, a company in which I have more than a minor interest.
