New street work, don't see anything near Sage Ranch

Development Services Director Jay Schlosser presented information about planned street improvement projects Monday night.

The council approved bid awards for three projects, totaling more than $4 million, to be completed in the coming year.

Projects include:

• $681,681 for Capital Hills street work, funded by Regional Surface Transportation Funds.

• $2,246,200 for pavement rehabilitation on sections of streets primarily within residential areas of the city, to be funded by Measure S sales tax revenue.

• $1,150,743 to build new curb, gutter, sidewalks, curb ramps, bicycle lanes and pedestrian crossings on Dennison Road from Tehachapi Boulevard to Tehachapi High School. Funding is from the state and federally-funded Active Transportation Program.
