The experience with total dissolution followed by secondary mining may provide some instruction but selective mining is essentially a continuous process while total dissolution involves a series of consecutive operations.
Selective mining only works in a continuouss layer of high grade ore.
Low continuous flows from selective mining favor crystallizers and are not adaptable to conventional pond crystallization.
Selective mining is inherently low cost and should replace conventional approaches in most ore bodies.
