RE:RE:RE:Alberta...Excellent point Experience. I can speak directly to that issue as I worked for the BC
Forest Service 2yrs in a row during summer hollidays while going to school. Our
job over those summers was to clear all fire access roads and selective areas of
heavy dead brush mixed with old fallen trees. We went out daily to these areas
and cleared them out with chain saws and pick axes. It was hard work but I loved
it. We stayed in a bunkhouse and ate like kings from a cookhouse operated by the
Forest Service. Hell, I was only 17 yrs old and strong and fit. I highly recommend
that to some of the current generation as not only a valuable service provided to the
province but valuable work experience for oneself. That type of work gave me a
sense of comraderie and a work ethic as well as an appreciation of our forests that
is still with me today.
