RE:RE:Marathon Oil report about refrac ...Good, solid info red. Very useful. There's more than a few of us sitting on the sidelines waiting to see how this macro stuff plays out. Mideast tensions, Indian rupee plumetting with inflation soaring, same in Pakistan, fears of sovereign defaults, increasing droughts and water scarcity threatening food supplies causing food inflation and a whole host of triggers that might cause a pretty hefty correction.
So we're looking for resilient companies that can take the punches. I've got to learn more about these refracs. The breakeven costs per barrel must be very low. I've got a buddy who knows people who work with Calfrac Well Services. He's checking out whst these refracs cost. Calfrac operates in Canada, US and Argentina in their Vaca Muerta field. I guess it's a big shale play there as well. I wonder if bte is looking at it. Anyway, if they csn get hundreds of bbls per day more per alrwady drilled and completed well a lot cheaper than drilling new wells then I think that I won't be on the sidelines much longer.
