Right, unless you are in the Executive suite and then it's perfectly appropriate.

If you think the end result of this will be a contract comparable to Westjet - well, let's meet back here in a few months and compare notes.

The banners (do you mean lanyards?) you might see at the airport are not for the passengers.  The lanyards are to foster a sense of unity among the pilot group and show solidarity to management.

I'm completely onboard with well paid, motivated pilots.  In fact I've never been able to make any investment gains from a company with disgruntled employees.  Pay your employees well and the success far outweighs the cost.
