We are seeing a bottoming in wireless pricing: analyst Maher Yaghi, managing director and telecom and media analyst at Scotiabank, joins BNN Bloomberg to discuss the outlook for the Canadian telecoms sector.
My summary is currently the valuation supports a buy except what is unknown is the wholesale price that the CRTC will set for wireless resale which if they don't get it right, will affect the top end of telecom pricing which has been unaffected at present and if this happens, then drastic decisions by telecoms will have to be made.
Without CRTC as an intermediate actor, the usual rule would apply, the answer to low prices is low prices.
WIRELESS is really just important as food, but is the CRTC oblivious of this fact? THE FIRST PURCHASE OF A NEW IMMIGRANT TO CANADA IS TO PURCHASE A CELL PHONE AND SO GOES THE REST OF CANADA...
