CORRIDOR RESOURCES COMPLETES
FLOW TESTING OF MCCULLY NO. 2 WELL (04/17/01)
Corridor Resources of Halifax, Nova Scotia announces that flow testing of the McCully No. 2 well has been completed. The test resulted in a stabilized natural gas flow rate of 2.2 million cubic feet per day at a flowing tubing head pressure of 2,100 pounds per square inch following a three-day flow period.
The McCully No. 2 well is currently shut-in for pressure build-up analysis. The well is located approximately 12 kilometres northeast of Sussex, New Brunswick and is situated on lands under a 50/50 joint venture partnership with the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan (PCS), with Corridor acting as the operator.
Corridor and PCS also announce that they have commenced drilling the third McCully well, identified as McCully P-56. The well is located 2.2 kilometres east southeast of the McCully No. 1 discovery well, where 3-D seismic data indicates the new well will penetrate up to 700 gross meters of the prospective Albert formation. Total depth for the well is projected to be 2,700 meters and the well is expected to be completed by late May.
CANADIAN IMPERIAL AWARDS
CONTRACTS FOR GARDEN HILL PROJECT (04/17/01)
Canadian Imperial Venture Corporation of St. John's, Newfoundland has awarded contracts for its onshore recompletion and drilling program at the Garden Hill Field on the Port au Port peninsula in western Newfoundland.
Simmons Drilling has been contracted to supply and operate their drill rig #31. Coil tubing equipment and services will be provided by BJ Services, while Baker Atlas will provide wireline services for the company's operations. Equipment is currently being mobilized and operations are expected to commence before the end of April 2001.
METEOR CREEK REACHES CONTRACT DEPTH AT PEI PROJECT (04/17/01)
Meteor Creek Resources Inc. of Toronto, Ontario announces that it has reached the contract depth of 3,680 metres at its Bear River # 1 exploration gas well located near Souris, Prince Edward Island. The logging of the well was completed during the weekend and the setting of casing was approved after consultations with the company's consulting engineers. Testing of the well will commence shortly and is anticipated to be completed in the next three to four weeks.
The company is currently negotiating a private placement with investors of up to four million common shares of the company at a price of $1 per share. Proceeds from this financing would be added to working capital for the Prince Edward Island project.
