RE:Population grade...........a new invention?A new term to you ?
There are three grades of ore in a deposit .
1..Typically, when people talk about the ‘grade’ of a deposit, they are talking about the AVERAGE Reserves , based on the samples of which have been analyzed above a cutoff level
2..The CUTOFF grade, is the low grade below which the material will not be profitable to mine. That material is mineralized, but it is not ‘ore’ because it isn’t worth mining.
3..The Population grade includes both reserves plus uneconomic ore below the cutoff.....every cu meter of ore including waste ore with no gold mineralization.
