Its Mackenzie Mill has approximately 240 million board feet of annual lumber capacity on a two-shift basis. It operates a 36-megawatt biomass power generation plant in Mackenzie, British Columbia (the Power Plant), located at the site of its Mackenzie Mill. Its Power Plant's output capacity is in excess of 230 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity per year.

RE:RE:RE:RE:In play?I don't know if their biomass plant would be worth that much.  Biomass plants, cogneration plants, whatever more environmental favourable name they give them.....they're really just giant fireplaces. They burn biomass which produces steam which turns a turbine to generate electricity.  They are considered acceptable only within the operations of a lumber mill.  50% of any log goes into the finished lumber product leaving 50% left over (lumber by-product) which then the mill has to do something with.  The outlet for by-product would be a pulp and paper mill or pellet mill.  If you aren't in the vicinity of either of those, you've got a problem.  One solution is to burn it in a biomass facility so you can use the energy in your mill or sell the excess electricity to the grid.  But without an operating lumber mill, biomass plants don't make any sense.
