Incontrovertible comparison,,Best of Marathon..Best of NFG.Marathon gold , in its 2022 V Lake FS, provides the best intercepts for the Marathon pit in one of its tables.
The Marathon pit is V Lakes largest pit
There were 23 such intrecepts reported for the Marathon pit which averaged 120 m in interceot length and averaged 2.3 grams per ton.
The gram meters were therefore 120 m X 2.3 gms = 276 gram meters.
The Marathon pit contained 2.15 m ounces of M + I + If ,at an average grade 0f 1.9 grams per ton.
I then went to the NFG web site where they provide their 11 best QWN intercepts for the years 2020-23 .
The average length of these 11 best intercepts was 20 meters and the average best grade was 136 grams per ton.
The Gram Meters index for QWN is therefore 20 m X 136 grams =2720 g meters.
The QWN best intercepts was 9.8 times greater than the 23 best of the Marathon pit containing 2.15 m ounces .
This translates into 21 million ounces for QWN ( 2.15 m ounces X 9.8 ) which is in the same range of my other estimates for QWN above 300 m.
Now, QWN has dozens and dozens of superb intercepts at high grades.
This is not the case for the Marathon pit .
GGG provides a very useful set of best intercepts for QWN.
Perhaps he or some one else find another 12 best intercepts such that QWN is based on the 23 best intercepts, and replace my 11 QWN statistics with the average lenght and grade of another 12 and update the estimated QWN ounces for 23 intercepts for both Marathon and QWN.
Regardless, it will not change the fact that the multiple estimates that I have provided shows that QWN best 10 prospects above 300 m ,have well over 15 million ounces of gold at a 1 gram cutoff
