GoldInvest - AMQ is "Growing the resource""Growing the resource: Abitibi Metals starts second round of drilling at B26 in Quebec"
Abitibi Metals (AMQ.c AMQFF) has begun Phase 2 of its 16,500-meter drill program at the B26 high-grade polymetallic deposit in Quebec's Abitibi Greenstone Belt, as detailed in a recent Gold Invest article:
https://goldinvest.de/growing-the-resource-abitibi-metals-starts-second-round-of-drilling-at-b26-in-quebec/ The program aims to significantly expand the historic resource, particularly by testing the underexplored western portion of the deposit with a 1,250-meter drill hole.
A second drill rig will be added soon to support this effort, followed by testing stand-alone targets outside the B26 deposit later in the drill program.
CEO Jonathon Deluce emphasized that the recent gravity survey and Phase 1 drilling have positioned the company to enhance both open pit and underground mining potential, while also identifying new high-priority targets that could increase the value of the B26 property.
Well-funded, with CAD 16 million in cash, AMQ is strongly positioned to complete its seven-year option agreement to acquire 80% of the B26 deposit from its partner SOQUEM within two years.
Significantly, the B26 deposit has a historical resource estimate of 7.0 million tonnes at 2.94% Cu Eq (Indicated) and 4.4 million tonnes at 2.97% Cu Eq (Inferred). The nearby Beschefer Gold Project has historic intercepts with high gold grades, additionally adding further value to the company’s portfolio.
