AMQ.c Launches Fully Funded Phase 2 Drilling at B26 Copper

AMQ.c Launches Fully Funded Phase 2 Drilling at B26 Copper

Abitibi Metals Corp. (Ticker: AMQ.c or AMQFF for US investors) recently announced that it has started the Phase 2 drilling program at its B26 Polymetallic Deposit, marking a significant step in the company's efforts to expand and develop this high-grade resource.

The B26 Deposit, located just 5 km south of the historic Selbaie mine and 90 km west of Matagami, presents a highly promising opportunity for significant resource expansion and development, with an estimated 6.97 million tonnes of indicated resources grading 2.94% Cu Eq and 4.41 million tonnes of inferred resources grading 2.97% Cu Eq.

The potential for growth is underscored by the property's historical exploration, including the discovery hole B26-03, which intercepted 1.87 g/t Au and 2.89% Cu over 11.3 metres.

This rich mineralization, coupled with over 115,000 meters of drilling across 254 holes, lays a solid foundation for the ongoing Phase 2 drill program.

The 16,500m drill program, which could be extended based on initial results, will target several key areas within the deposit, including the underexplored western plunge and mid-level resource zones.

The Phase 2 program aims to test the western plunge of the B26 Deposit at a vertical depth of approximately 900m.

This area has seen limited historical drilling, making it a prime target for resource expansion.

In addition to the western plunge, AMQ plans to focus on mid-level resource growth, targeting vertical depths between 300-625m, and open-pit resource expansion based on strong near-surface results from Phase 1.

AMQ CEO, Jonathon Deluce, expressed confidence in the company's strategy, highlighting the insights gained from a recent gravity survey and the Phase 1 drilling program.

These insights, combined with the new drilling efforts, are expected to enhance both the open-pit and underground potential of the B26 Deposit, as well as identify new, high-priority targets that could significantly increase the project's value.

The Phase 2 drilling program is fully funded, with the company holding approximately $16M in its treasury, and AMQ is optimistic about the potential catalysts and progress that the upcoming months will bring.
