ICYMI... Last week #China approved construction of a record-breaking 11 new #Nuclear reactors in one go! 11 That's 46 new reactor builds approved by China since 2019 average size of 1.2 Gigawatts, each needing about 1.8 Million lbs of #Uranium for initial startup and then 600K lbs per year after that over their expected 60 years of operation.

China plans to approve another 10+ reactors each year over the next few years with a goal of tripling their Nuclear fleet to over 150 Gigawatts by 2030.

#China has the fastest growing reactor fleet in the world, having built up a massive supply chain and workforce capable of building multiple copies of the same reactor at the same time in what's called "fleet mode." New reactors are being constructed in as little as 5 years thanks to planning ahead for mass production.

China currently has 56 operating reactors (54.4GW) and another 30 under construction (35GW), making up nearly half of the 64 reactor builds (71.4GW) under way today worldwide in a Nuclear Renaissance!

China is also moving forward with plans to mass produce its 210MW HTR-PM "pebble bed" Small Modular Reactor that is "meltdown proof" and designed to be a drop-in replacement for its 1,142 coal-fired power plants that could be converted from coal to uranium fuel.
HTR-PM SMR's are also being planned to replace coal-fired district residential heating plants that produce hot water that is distributed to homes and businesses in northern cities. The future is Nuclear!
