That is called, "cherry picking" the data. The fact remains that even with the "good" news of the last three months the stock has fallen 8%!
The question is: why? Other major producers are showing similar decreases, a result of perceived reduced uptake of copper. Will that continue? It has become apparent that China's economic malaise if more serious than previously recognized and IMO her consumption of copper will remain depressed for months if not years.
The problem Ivanhoe faces is that disruption of global copper production will most likely increase the price of copper due to speculation before consumption grows, Unfortunately southern Africa is “ground zero” for extreme weather effects during this la Nina cycle.
BTW - heavy rainfall is predicted in Western Africa this year due to a la Nina condition setting up in the Atlantic.
