RE:No to China. This is a bit of a mixed bag and may or may not be good news for E3. Demand is slowing down for EVs and a lack of cheaper China EVs will not help adoption of domictic EVs....not unless domestic supply goes up to keep the price down. So E3 may win if demand keeps up and supply follows. Government will have to boost EVs incentives or tax the alternative ICE. I don't see the 2025 government imposing taxes on ICE and JT is out of time.
It's for sure bad news for other Canadian industries that we export to China. This will impact oil and agriculture. But if the US was putting the pressure on Canada to duplicate the tariffs, not much choice in the matter. This will also increase the cost of solar installation as leading panels are from China.
