RE:RE:Rail strike?Good info there thanks for posting.  It all looks like it is moot now that the strike appears to be over but good to know for the future.  It also begs the question:  If there is excess capacity on TMX and other pipes and shipping by rail is more expensive than pipes,  will those shipping by rail numbers drop?

Also good to note that these are export numbers only and do not take into account shipping by rail domestically to the east coast.

CRUDE OIL

* An average of 94,400 barrels per day of crude oil has been exported via rails this year, according to the Canada Energy Regulator. * The strike is, however, unlikely to significantly reduce oil exports to the United States, due to excess capacity on Trans Mountain and other pipelines.
