BUYOUT possible?
In PYR's May 30, 2024 press release, we learn that PYR is to buy 50% of HPQ Silica Polvere (the division of HPQ that makes Pyrogenic Silica).
Prior to this agreement, PYR was entitled to a 10% royalty in HPQ Silica Polvere. Now, PYR is going ahead with its option to acquire 50% of HPQ Polvere.
That speaks volumes! PYR could have waited a long time before injecting cash into HPQ Polvere, but it's doing so now... Maybe before anyone else does?
PYR is the designer of the reactor that makes fumed silica, so PYR knows what it's getting into, otherwise PYR wouldn't be buying 50% of HPQ Polvere and its patent just for fun!
The patent to make fumed silica belongs to HPQ Polvere, even though it was PYR who developed the reactor, since it was HPQ who originally came up with the idea.
Later, in PYR's press release of July 9, 2024, we learn that EVONIK CORPORATION (which has an agreement with HPQ Polvere) has tested the samples produced by HPQ Polvere and that they are acceptable to them. So, maybe EVONIK will buy HPQ Polvere with a BUYOUT!
EVONIK is a major producer of Pyrogenic Silica and, like all companies, it has to reduce its carbon footprint because the current process is very polluting, and it also has to reduce its operating costs. And right now, it's just PYR/HPQ Polvere who have developed a new way of making fumed silica... with a cost reduction of around 90%! That's huge!
And I doubt that EVONIK, a company with a market capitalization of over $9 billion, is going to share these gains with HPQ/PYR? Instead, it will buy HPQ's Polvere technology and bye bye HPQ and PYR. Or simply buy the 2 companies? HPQ is worth $132 million and PYR is worth $150 million, for a total of $282 million. Evonik just needs to buy 51% of the 2 companies to have control of the patent and the technology. So $141M to get the worldwide patent. Not a bad deal for them, is it?
The question I ask myself is: at what price will HPQ and PYR let go of this revolutionary technology for making fumed silica?
I think we'll soon find out!
Place your bets!
BUYOUT possible?
Cela en dit long!
Faites vos jeux!
Evonik is not able to buy PYR. Peter Pascali the ceo owns more than half the shares. HPQ polvere(Fumed Silica) is 50% owned by PYR. If Evonik wants to buy the FSR (fumed silica reactor tech) it would be sold for at least a billion dollars minimum.
