RE:QuestionsThe major competitor is Teledyne. One of the reasons that the Edge should do very well is the fact that they decided not to implement 5G themselves. In fact they may have requested that Flyht add this development to the Edge+ product, since some of their sales force now work for Flyht.
According to the latest Flyht presentation, there are currently around 25,000 airplanes and Teledyne has WQAR units on around 85% of them. The number of airplanes is expected to reach 31,000 five years hence so Flyht's hope to secure 20% of this market in the next five years looks promising. Also, installing an Edge+ unit can be done overnight, much faster than the time it takes to install the flange mount Edge.
According to Flyht they are not aware of other companies developing 5G for airplanes. If this is indeed the case then Flyht should get significant revenue in the next five years and beyond.
Flyht has secured full STC approval of the Edge for both Boeing and Airbus and have applied for the STC for the Edge+ in Europe. They expect to get the full approval soon and to begin installing the Edge+ in Q4. We have not heard much about instalations of the Edge but it seems they have a few, possibly small orders to date. Perhaps we will get more information in Thursday's conference call.
