Kingscorpian ;I forgot ( and should have definitely mentioned ) that I am a technical trader that uses news, fundamentals ( qwarterly results amongst other news stories.) To pick entry points and sell signals. My goal is to make 30% or greater on a trade. I set my downside ( mental stop loss ) around 5% . One thing I've always noticed is that the markets know long before us ! I've saved myself a tonn of money with the mental stop loss. You notice I say mental stop loss, that's because over the years I've literally put stop loss orders in and got stopped out only to find 24 hours later the price is much higher than what I got stopped out at .
