Crazy vacation, Pip's restraint, NDAs and DOD security I have returned! From my wife's crazy whirlwind vacation of England and Scotland. We did or saw all the things from the canceled 2020 trip plus some add-ons. We visited 13 cities, towns, villages, wide spots in the road or under it. Stayed in 12 small boutique hotels with lab rat maze hallways and toilets that were way to small, round & mounted way to low on the wall. Went on 7 private car driving tours, 5 hop on, hop off bus tours, 3 walking tours (OH MY ACHING FEET), and 1 boat tour. Traveled over a thousand miles by train. The highlights were walking to the top of Edinburgh castle to dine on Hagas and wild fowl with the lord of the castle. When went all the way back down to the forecourt of the castle to watch the Tattoo. Think marching bands, pipers, dancers for 2 and a half hours on seats that you needed a cushion for, with a very cold wind. Went and seen the Scotland's Kelpies in a driving horizonal rain. The tailend of a huricane. Very big horse heads that are very artistic but a bad welding job, they will be doing a lot of repairs. I got to pet the Dragon in Dundee. I wanted to call him George and take him home. But the wife said no. Shipping and customs would be a nightmare and he would scare the neighbors and the police. The things I hated most about the vacation? Cobblestone streets and toilets.
Pip's restraint: Pip, Rod, and even Bob I wish commend you on your restraint in posting. I expected to come home and find the board full of your posts trashing Ucore. But very few compared to years past. I wish to thank you for things to read while on vacation. While you are soaking your feet it is nice to have something interesting to read.
Things I would have loved to post while on vacation that I could not. I don't do phone like most people. Big fat fingers that touch screens hate. To many years working with hot metal. Screw up the contactivity of the fingertips.
Pip, you know perfectly well that RSX works. So quit suggesting it does not. You know as well as others that each concertration has a different path to separation depending on the mix. Each take a different time frame to get to 99.8% pure.
Ucore is getting 5 million from DOD not 4 million. Why? Because DOD did what they almost always do. They changed the contract and added a fifth element to be separated, which is why the finish date got pushed back from June to December. To separate the heavy REES needed for magnets and the add on is the one for making AI chips. We have covered this, Pip.
With SX or RSX the chemistry is the same. So you do the same thing to get to 99.8% pure. You keep cycling it through the system. Ask Bob, he know the most about SX chenistry.
Okay Pip, Rod which makes the most sense? That DOD would tell the world and China that RSX is working and will soon be up and running to break the chinese monopoly or that they would say just the bare minimum to keep the chinese in the dark? Which make the most sense that Companies would not want China to know they are talking to or cutting a deal with Ucore until they are ready to stop selling to China? Pip, you keep thinking that Ucore is a regular company with balance sheets and regular business announcments. It is not. Welcome to my world. Where a lot things are secret and you don't get to be told things until you need to know.
It is just past dawn here. I was wide awake at 4, still on Scotish time. Fed the cats and wrote this post. I am going to go get a cup of Folgers and sit on the back porch and enjoy the day.
