RE:RE:Signal Gold Made A Big Mistake With GoldboroYa, when I read the article, I was a bit shocked by the 6 to 12 months till a decision for the federal permit. That is something I do not know about...the timing of such.
Regardless, Signal can still sign a deal pending successful receipt of permits....that is not uncommon.
What struck me the most was this quote "Andrew Strelein, the CEO and managing director of St Barbara, said all of those projects are halted indefinitely. "
So if all their projects are halted indefinitely, what will they do with their idol mill at Touquoy? They now find themselves in the same situation as Signal did when they sold their mill to save cash and concentrate efforts in Goldboro (as opposed to paying for care and maintenance). Favorable to Signal IMHO.
Will Atlantic sell their mill to Signal to conserve cash given that their projects are on hold indefintely? Na...they know Goldboro is massive, has the magical environmental permit in hand and will sync up with Signal or buy Goldboro to keep going in Nova Scotia. It would be a hugh stepping stone for Atlantic to pick up Goldboro...get things going there then sort out the other much smaller properties they control in Nova Scotia. I bet Atlantic LOVES the hugh land holdings Signal has too...besides...""We want to be investing in Nova Scotia," said Strelein. "We like Nova Scotia."
The timing is right for Atlantic and Signal
Atlantic - Need to move forward and have an idol mill that could be moved to Goldboro
Signal - need a partner or keen to sell Goldboro which continues to grow and is probably eaily at 3.5 + million ounces now (long overdue mineral resource upgrade)
Let's Go Kevin and Rob HALT and announce a way forward for Goldboro and unlock the shareholder value for those waiting a LONG TIME!!!!!!!
