RE:RE:RE:ENB is breaking out Obscure...
In my previous post I was reacting to your comment about interest rates which I felt gave a bit more zealous view to those without the background that both of us have in our "previous lives" than was warranted. In terms of risk adjusted returns - yes, but that does not necessarily say that ENB is best investment based solely on a reduction of interest rates in a market of stock choices.
For me, as stated in previous posts, my interest and investment in ENB/ENS actually places greater greater value on the huge moat that ENB has built around itself which provides a low risk long term value that I do not believe that the market has fully appreciated. As stated in a previous post, this moat stems from the fact that it is unlikely that others will be able to build what ENB has with the combination of its mainline pipeline system and its regulated NG utilities systems in both Canada and now the US, not to mention the LNG port in Texas.
LOL...in terms of simple investment lessons, those that have read my posts elsewhere know that I have often said that if I can't figure something out on the back of an envelope then it is too complicated.
So for ENS, I like the fact that I can buy it for less than it is worth (the discount to NAV) and that the underlying investment (ENB) has a moat around it.
