Pala @ company

Pala @ company Pala supposedly is/was a  very rich man with mines all over the world . So why if he's so smart would he turn all of the debt in NCU into stocks and warrants before the company went into bankruptcy? Isn't he then in the same boat as all of use shareholders and lost all ?  Something definitely doesn't add up here.  I could be wrong again about this but common sense says a man who has made millions in mining over the years won't be that stupid .  Even if he planned on taking control, going  private to end up losing  it all. Comments anybody  ? Anything from the NCU's spokesman  ?  Somebody make me understand  Just saying  .  Thanks
