last pieces of the puzzleKey to delivering on sales of the Edge+ is the full Certification Testing and Approval as laid out in slide 9 of the June presentation.
News releases for the flange-mount design have been made for the Airbus A320 series (Feb. 2024) and Boeing 737 NG series (June 2024).
If no image appears below I won't be surprised as it is a screen snip taken by Chrome and in the past I have not been able to include a copy-and-paste of any kind. (Images with URLs work fine.)
In case it doesn't, here is a link to the
presentation.
Certification for the Edge+ for the A320 family will likely happen next, followed by certification of the Edge+ for the B737 NG family. Could be any day now if the slide depiction of this occurring in Q3 is accurate. Hopefully the news release will include details of 70 units of the Edge+ that have been ordered already. According to management, these two STCs cover more than 50% of all commercial aircraft in use at this time.
Certification for the WVSS-II on Loganair's Embraer 145's (for UK Met) and on the B737 family (for NOAA) look to be in hand by the end of the year. Each WVSS-II sensor install will include an AFIRS Edge or Edge+.
