How if we as retail shareholders take on the role of hostiletakeover bid?
Of the 90 million stocks only 38% are held by retail investors. and there again the vast majority is held by long term investors. Also if we look at the trading volumes in Toronto and Lima they are ridiculousely low and almost all significnat trades in the last months are made by just a very limited number of people.
Therefore it would not take much to drive the share price up. It took just a little more than 1 million shares to drive the price up from 40 cents to 80 cents ,- with an investment of less than 400000 Euro. So it is up to us to set the barr for the next PP - Fortescue will do it above marketprice or for the starting point for the take over price caclulations.
Once the permit is in I think the derisking stage will have its end and discussions will focus on what is there in the ground. I do believe there will be a significant stock price appreciation with the permit, even Fortescue will try to curtail it with an as low as possible quick PP by pushing for an acceleration of the project development.
