Institutional ShareholdersThanks "lifeisgood" for the all the updates !!
IMO, Morningstar.ca is a more reliable company, which I have used for years for Major Shareholders details. Their website lists MDPIM Canadian Equity Pool (MD private Investment Management ) as the largest Fund holding 288,914 shares and Hillsdale Management as 2nd largest holder with 221,200 shares .
As of August 31, 2024It also lists MD Financial Management ( Incl. MDPIM Cdn pool and few other MD CDN Equity funds) holding a Total of 444,100 shares.
Jarislowsky Fraser and Hillsdale Management are the Sub-Advisors to MD Financial Management ( Now an arm of Wealth Management group of Scotia Bank ). MD Managemenr is an investment firm which was established moe than 50 years ago, to primarily provide investment and financial advice to Physicians and their families.
I have worked in Financial/Investment industry for 25 years and also have high respect for JF's investment philosophy. JF advises a number of institutional and pension funds in Canada.
Looking at some disclosre documents, MDPIM Cdn Eq had no ADF group holding as at Dec, 2023. So the MD Financial's 444,100 shares stake in DRX, could have been acquired anytime between Jan ( or Apr ) to June, 2024. The average cost is listed as $13.03 per share. (ADF Group is only < 0.19% Pool's total funds managed ).
Morningstar.ca also shows Total Institutional Shareholding for DRX at 4.51%.
Personally, I have owned the name from $16 and added some at $13 and $11, recently.
