RE:A Leodevoes classic response to an academic question

RE:A Leodevoes classic response to an academic questionHonestly Shammy, even in your posts that have actually had some Edgewater content, they have yet to not ring hollow. Nothing ever comes of any big announcement from this company except Kroger, which also flopped when the moment of truth came and went. That was the only time that I truly thought that this company might have something or do something.

Leo has been pretty much bang on predicting the future all along. But you have never acknowledged that, and instead attack him personally non stop? Instead you selectively ignore the past and predict the future with equal disingenuousness. To anyone visiting this forum for info, you must look like nothing more than a shill for Edgewater.

What are we waiting for now? We are probably a year or more away from some sort of determination about the latest patent applications that currently STILL aren't showing up on any database. We are still waiting for some sample chips to be produced, since the Kroger fiasco. Apparently they will be available at the end of this year. And then there's all those things you mentioned about testing that have long since passed and there's no legal or regulatory authority to ever update us or mention them again... which has happened  for almost everything so far.

So do I think that the samples will finally be made and delivered to a few companies for testing? Sure. This time at least it isn't a year or more down the road. Do I think that this is the disruptive technology they have been talking about for 12 years? No, based on past and current interest from the marketplace. Do I think that they can find a niche for their technology? Possibly. They have had several installations that any company could have investigated on site for many, many years now with no value generated. However, they have made improvements so that's a "wait and see" once again. While we have traveled a multi-lane highway, to a gravel road, to path through the weeds, the WiFi world has evolved around Edgewater just fine with many affordable solutions already on the market. So although I can't discount this tech 100%, but I really have my doubts.I give this roughly a 10% chance of proving me completely wrong, and a 20% chance they will find a niche market. I could change my mind/opinion depending on changing circumstances FWIW.

It's easier for me to be skeptical since I don't have money in the game. A few regulars here will pounce on that fact again, I'm sure, as if opinions don't matter unless you are invested in a stock rather than just following it on a forum for fun and curiosity. To each their own.
