Sports Team are perennially undervalued assets..

.. until they are sold.

In a recent article from Barrons, they use the sale of BCE's stake in MLSE as an example of how MSG Sports, a publicly traded company that owns the NYK and the NYR, is largely undervalued. Here is a quote from the article that caught my attention.

"Sports teams are trophy properties that usually realize their full value only in sales."
