Big Ridge NR of Yesterday ….Signifucant ? See extract below.
Big Ridge has the 1.3 million ounce Hope Brook project just about ready to go, and is now sitting pretty as a buyout candidate...,,and copper as a by product credit .
Note the statement in green in which it refers to regional infrastructure synergies.
The only suitable one that I know of is those of Point Rousse...mills, tailings ponds and a Deep Water port with access to 55,000 ton Panamax Carriers that can transport Hope Brook ore from its Deep water site at Hope Brook to Point Rousse.
Just a guess on my side but consistent with the two week news silence of Maritime.
If my guess is correct, this will be a transformational move by Maritime , giving it a potential 20 year mine life adding copper as a by production credit and another 145,000 ounces of tailings.
Its the type of deal that I would expect of Dundee...adding 1+1 and getting 5.
Just speculation of course but economically sound..

" With a market capitalization of only $11-million, Big Ridge is a compelling opportunity at current valuation levels.
The company is well positioned to capitalize on the strong gold price environment with a project that can advance quickly.
Hope Brook is an advantaged project due to regional infrastructure synergies, significant exploration potential and environmental work already completed, and the ability to generate a preliminary economic assessment in the near future.
Big Ridge has chosen to preserve its capital in this difficult market for juniors and is now judiciously raising money from a core group of shareholders to unlock significant value via the advancement of key milestones."
