Lately it's been a downhill slide for Veren and Whitecap taking the lead. I know Wcp has been buying back shares and that may be some of the reason but this fall is getting over done. I hope. Lol.   I hold both companies.
This drop in share price has provided an opportunity to add. Veren's dividend is kept lower than WCP but that supports paying down debt at a faster pace. Some of Veren's wells that have come on stream lately are also among the top producers. It will still take some time, unless we have some kind of a unexpected catastrophe, and the Veren share price should climb back up into the $11 range. Each time WCP and Veren have traded spots for highest share price we have had investors who sell and pile into the lower one for the ride up, likely happening again.
