HPQ Silicon Inc V.HPQ

Alternate Symbol(s):  HPQFF

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

RE:New Patent for HPQ Silicon

RE:New Patent for HPQ Silicon @helloween For those who are new to the story, HPQ had a deal with Apollon because they had a patent to refine silicon up to 5N. When Apollon ceased to exist, BT scouted the brains behind Apollon's patent and helped them create Novacium. So this new patent is in the natural order of things since they are experts in silicon.

@helloween These guys are not newcomers in the field, they have decades of expertise.

@cashbag2.0 pick this up from a member on another chat.good points. This patent has the Novacium team members listed as authors. To me this indicates that the QRR will be used to produce 2N and then purified further with this different approach for the purpose of producing the Novacium battery anode material. Producing that material may have its own peculiarities and it may be cheaper to produce the silicon for battery anodes this way.
