RE:RE:Greenfire swallows POISON PILL, awaits TSX acceptanceReminds me of a Brookfield aka crookfield absorption of its prey. Crazy how management make literally $billions on their deals while their own shareholders/unitholders/investors make modest returns. Why do cppib and other huge capital pools surrender their capital to others like waterous and Brookfield? Beats me. But regardless of the seemingly disproportionate sharing of the spoils that go to the victors, it all comes from the value of the target. Gfr ,in this case, is worth far more than what waterous just paid. Poison pills historically delay the inevitable and MAY force the buyer to sweeten the pot. Like crookfield did with IPL. But if they are determined, they have the team of lawyers to get their way eventually. If Gfr can't turn them away now, the outcome will not favour minority shareholders unless a "white knight" rides in over the hill. Good luck to us all !
