It operates approximately 391 stores under three distinct banners consisting of 226 Reitmans, 85 Pennington, and 80 RW&CO.

Opportunity cost

or loss. In 2023 I sold about 5% of my growing BBD shares to roll into this. Today, those same BBD shares are worth $8000 more while RET shares have gained only a few hundred dollars. Trimming is a good strategy but finding that next growth stock to move gains into can be tricky. So far, RET has been a dud move for me.
