3,043g/t Ag Intercept Shows Expansion Potential @ Santa Ana Outcrop Silver & Gold (Ticker: OCG.v or OCGSF for US investors) recently reported positive results from its ongoing 2024 exploration drilling program at the 100%-owned Santa Ana high-grade silver project in Colombia.
Notably, recent drilling has intercepted high-grade silver equivalent mineralization along the Aguilar vein system, confirming its potential for substantial resource expansion.
Key drilling results include 1.3 meters grading 888 grams per tonne silver equivalent and 3,043 grams per tonne silver over a 0.30-meter intercept.
These results highlight the depth continuity of the high-grade mineralization and affirm the 1.5-kilometer strike length of the Aguilar vein system, with notable intersections at the Jimenez and Guadual targets.
This drilling program is focused on extending known mineralization and discovering new high-potential areas, which are critical steps toward increasing the Santa Ana project's resource base.
Guillermo Hernandez, Vice President of Exploration, expressed optimism, noting that each drill hole is unlocking more high-grade silver at depth, aligning with the company’s strategy to drive resource growth.
To date, twenty-one holes have been drilled at the Aguilar target, with assays pending for one hole, and additional drilling continues at the Guadual and Jimenez targets.
Outcrop Silver's Santa Ana project spans 27,000 hectares, recognized as Colombia’s largest and highest-grade primary silver district, with mining activity dating back to the 16th century.
The 2024 exploration campaign aims to demonstrate Santa Ana's scalability, positioning it as a significant future silver producer.
