RE:RE:RE:Oil surges as Iran prepares to launch attack on Israel:I would disagree that this came out of nowhere. For the past year, studying news articles, it has been clear that Israel planned to take out Hamas first, Hezbollah second, and Iran third. Iran has just decided not to wait for Israel to finish with Hezbollah, so they moved now. The Houthis are a wild card. You can be certain that both Russia (a political ally) and China (a financial/oil supplier ally; please familiarize yourself with the Iran-China oil supply agreement from a few years back) will be supporting Iran. I believe Russia has already installed the 500-series air defense system there. Much like WW1 (again, read the history) this is in the process of spinning out of control. Russia will be quite happy to see the USA busy in the middle east for a while, rather than Ukraine. WW2 began when Germany invaded Poland in 1939 (or was it when Japan invaded China in 1937?), but nobody called it a world war for a few years. It is my personal belief that February 2022 will be the date set for the beginning of WW3 even though no one is calling it that just yet. Take a look at the news: There is absolutely NO ONE who wants to back down. Every party involved, from NATO to Russia, to Hezbollah, to Iran, to the USA is calling this (either openly or quietly) an existential struggle. Here's another thought to chew on: 10-20 years ago, the US Department of Defense defined a nuclear weapon as one that releases radiation into the environment. This was a major reclassification. Hence nuclear tipped bunker-busting bombs are NOT considered nuclear by the US; as long as they allow the dirt to fall in behind them as they tunnel. Denial is no place to live. Structure your life and investment portfolio accordingly. I seriously doubt oil goes into the $60s again, and if it does, that is your "buy" signal. Sure, the market is manipulated, but you can only successfully manipulate the market in the direction it already wants to go. The current US administration wants it down until the election, but what do you think the price will be in January??
