RE:RE:Don’t know why this is going upThis is the first time I've ever closely followed the development of a mine from early drilling to fruition, and I'm totally gobsmacked at all the red tape involved. Only the lawyer-types are happy.
I've been trying to piece together the process by following the current and similar Canada Nickel story, who seem to be a little more forthcoming with progress reports.
They submitted all their technical analysis some time ago, just as Galleon has.
Then, On Oct 2, they announced:
"Canada Nickel Begins Submission of Federal Impact Statement." This is a huge summary of everything done to date, including where this project ranks when compared to Electricity and The Wheel. Galleon will have to do the same thing, if they hven't already done so.
If you have problems with insomnia, try this small sample --
The federal Impact Statement includes critical baseline data and analysis of the environmental, social, and economic effects of the Project. It reflects Canada Nickel's commitment to responsible mining practices and outlines mitigation measures to address potential negative impacts, therefore enhancing the Project's benefits. The findings within the Submission are a result of extensive consultations with Indigenous Nations, local communities, government agencies, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders.
