Hurricane milton

TAMPA – Hurricane Milton continues to rapidly intensify and could get extremely close to reaching Category 5 strength over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico before weakening ahead of an anticipated Florida landfall this week.

The explosive intensification of Hurricane Milton continued overnight into early Monday morning after the storm strengthened from a Category 1 hurricane to a Category 3 hurricane with winds of 125 mph.
