A company does NOT shut down it's website to launch or relaunch a product. They set up in a test environment and test, test, test, and test some more. Then and only then is it put live. Typically flipping one switch. But I guess you and nb1/2 have a lot of IT experience so you could GUESS better.

The admonition "stick to thy last" would be appropriate here.
