RE:RE:RE:RE:Market sentiment on Bombardier"The average person is unlikely to know that BBD is a transformed company and has jettisoned the rail business." Chirs, maybe you are from T.O. as well... I recall that piece of work Andy Byford who had it out for Bombardier when the rail cars were delivered. One bad set of doors and the media was all over it. This is what Torontonians remember. Yet, look at the disaster delay of the Eglinton Crosstown... by the way, nothing related to Bombardier but if it was we surely would hear of it. Sad for them because they have their head in the sand. Meanwhile, as the hate lives on, we get to enjoy the ride up. I plan to unload a portion of my shares once the FOMO kicks in.

It was a mess frankly. And this most certainly led to a lot of negative press.
Now one doesn't hear any of that (not because BBD sold the streetcar business but because they work great - my interpretation since there is no longer bad press about the streetcars and they are everywhere).
Couple that with the current public sentiment of government support to strategic industry players being a horrible thing and that's what I understand the basis to be of the leftover negative sentiment in Ontario.
The average person is unlikely to know that BBD is a transformed company and has jettisoned the rail business.
