NWT Mineral act changes ….

NWT Mineral act changes ….

Interesting.....fear mongers can play this how they may like but the bottom line is that FN in the north recognise where there $$ and socio economic future is and much of that future is with mining development. The significant concern by FN, of the loss of some diamond mines is tell tale but the life of those mines was also very known from the onset.

new projects are needed and needed very quickly at the same time the standard for IBAs has been set and it works as is. What these change's could do is guarantee and be a catalyst to additional federal funding with FN participation in projects going forward as FN involvement will be entrenched. The GNWT has no money but the Feds do and I think this is a way to help secure Fed $$ thru to FN to help get projects going.

Who could be involved? Tlicho.... YKDFN ? Both ? We are guests and we will have work together and maybe even as $$ partners lol. The trickle down effect for local FN companies, who are building capacity in various ways and at an alarming rate, will be significant as it is, especially if GP can find a bit more gold and make this a project.

there is no fear hear, projects today are all about partnerships and good relations with the various community members ...
