NO ONE should be using forums as a means to shortcut proper research. There are volumes upon volumes of books out there that go over various ways to evaluate stocks and companies.

To expect glancing over a stock forum to find your best entry and exit point for any stock is pure insanity.

Retail Investors need to appreciate the fact that forums (all forums) are encased in disclaimers noting that they are for entertainment purposes only and no forum has a certified advisor sitting there giving our their "expert opinions".  To top this off there are no age restrictions on forums so readers must keep note that content is often posted from kids or teenagers who could literally be playing a video game and taking a few minutes to post utter nonsense to the forum.

The only research that matters is what you can find on your own from company websites, Sedar and whatever future view you have yourself for a sector or stock.

Consulting friends and family in how to read reports is likely going to produce better results than trusting the content of any forum.
