Our 27 year old works for Western Forest Products as a Jr. Accountant and still lives at home. Has to if he ever has any thoughts on buying a house. Was offered a transfer to Port McNeil but by the time you did the math even with the raise he was better off staying at home for the time being. and saving for a down payment. Bit my tongue and bought some more Veren this morning. Keep up the good posts.
Where's home Barney? When I was 27 years old I was renting a house with three other roomates....I sure as heck wasn't "living at home" ! I dunno, different times...When I was that age I went "where the work was"...made good money and came back. If he's in the lower Mainland and "saving for a house" he's going to be living with you for a long time.
Port McNeil ain't Vancouver....but you don't have to stay there forever if you choose not to. You make your mark with the company and show that you're ready to contribute wherever the need is. I spent a couple of years there and have fond memories of it all. The same way I feel about Fort St-John for my six months stay there. Living with your parents in your twenties is not doing you any good in my book.
You need to get out and be on your own. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with your VRN investment.
