RE:MagnesiumThere is a market for magnesium chloride brines for ice control in winter and dust control in summer. It would be so easy to do this at Wynyard for minimal amounts of capital out of the existing wells. Just add water to the wells, and fill the tanks. Profitable for regional supply since transportation from the US is a big part of the local cost. Good money in it, not like potash, but would certainly pay the bills. Could be a first step to potash.
Magnesium chloride is not in short supply for metal. The other products Karnalyte has been talking about are pretty speculative.
Time to do something.
