The funny money we use south of the border as opposed to your funny money does not show such dramatic fluctuations.
I never really looked much at the chart until now. I just noticed that whenever I looked up the SP, it didn't seem to have moved very much.
I bought in Jan. of '22 at U.S. $20.47. Yesterday's close was $20.27.
Granted it spiked to about 30 bucks 6 months after I bought in. That actually got my hopes up as I recall.
Since then, it appears to have waffled a little. But I'd bet if I bothered to do some comparisons of blue chip stocks with low BETAs, they'd probably show much greater volatility than POU..
Thanks for your observation. Maybe I don't have a good understanding of volatility.
I think AI lumped POU in with oil stocks which it described as being volatile and hence deserving of a high BETA. I don't see Paramount in that light.
