Pip and Dragon's long shot. Happy Columbus or native peoples day, whatever.
Yes, I know that that was yesterday, but that is when I started writing this post.
Not happy this morning. Had to get up at 5 AM to take grandkid to training. At least she has a job, unlike some. On second cup of Folgers and I am sure it is going to be a two pot day.
Pip and me have been investing in Ucore on and off for 14 years. We have been through the Alaska bond for the mine. The MRT separation/legal mess. Looked great until the mad scientist that controled the patents on the tech wanted 40 % of the profits to use the tech. Yes, we lost a lot of time. But the guys at Ucore learned a lesson. When they found RSX they bought the company lock, stock, barrel and patent.
When Pip is not ranting and raving about funding. He see things from a numbers/tech point of view. I try to see things where I think Ucore is going. Yes, I am wrong a lot of the time and Pip, loves to point that out. But funny when I am right he is very quiet. The last I read Pip had 30K shares. Me, at one time I was sitting on 600K shares and aiming for one million. But that was before the1 for 10 reverse split. I sold some to take a profit. But what I have left was from very early buys. When the stock price is low, like now I buy to lower the average stock price. Do I have to much Ucore? Maybe. Would I have been better off buying QQQ because of the monthly dividend to compound the shares? More than likely. But if/when Ucore pay off then it will be the better investment.
Will it pay off? Pat, has said that Ucore would announance two Offtake deals this quarter with magnet makers in Japan. We got DOD and canadain government funding testing with funding from that testing. How long until that hits Ucore's bank account? Unknown.
A few things to think about. While China is the largest seller of rare earths and rare earth magnets. China has a lot of problems. The bubble that is the China's economy is showing a lot of cracks. When it pops, it will not be pretty.
The inputs needed for China to grow it own food have been stopped because of the war in Ukraine. Drought because of climate change. Just to name a few.
So what would Ucore's stock be worth if China when off line in the production of REEs?
