BlackBerry Investor Day 2024 October 16th...This is about as naked as you will see a public corporation get in the modern world... lawyers and shim sham engineer accustomed to having his way is now in the rearview.
The BoD have a grasp on the corporation... JJG has a mandate and bonus program to bring profitability... JOB 1. Come April 1st everyone will know the outcome.
I expect JJG to achieve the bonus, it is too bad the last c e o was contracted in such a loose manner as to hold the entire entity in his arrogant limbo world.
JJG presented ok, the FINANCIAL GUYS knocked it out of the park, knowledgeabie AND presentable. GC also gets high marks. Mattius did his job well, which leads me back to JJG the guy currently being sued with BB and one of the line items is dressing like a perv. JJG is wearing the sales guy jewlery on both wrists.
1. wrist watch, I assume is expensive to convey he has success

Why is the guy wearing a health monitor!?! His jowels explode out the top of his shirt collar and well fed gut jumbling above the well worn uniform. Ok, I get it he couldn't tie a tie and hope to get through four hours of streaming without glowing Chernoblesk hues.
His financial guys dressed for success. While I haven't been a fan of TF to date, I am appreciative of his grasp for the total business... ditto for his IoT FVP... these guys embody the role and seem well positioned for a Co CEO role.
Kudos to JJG for getting to the crux of failure and silence... ok maybe it was the BoD or threat of jaune chien 3rd contract that would tackle the white elephant cylance.
Profitability for FY26... great outlook
Ultra conservative projections, couching some deep dark water yet to pass.
BB deserves some recognition... JJG looked like he took the most significant day of his tenure as JUST another, while his Finance guys were compelling. JJG like gone when seems close to believeing his press only the former chef exit ooof icer didn't allow anyone else to show their potential,,, anyone watching sees the leadership competition.
All in all an excellent Investor Day Update and highly informative honest content... JJG needs to find his next gear, his financial guys clearly are prepared for next steps.
Perhaps JJG isn't ready to manage an AI business!
