Spectral Medical Inc. is a Canada-based late-stage theragnostic company advancing therapeutic options for sepsis and septic shock. The Company develops and commercializes a treatment for septic shock utilizing its Endotoxin Activity Assay (EAA) diagnostic and the Toraymyxin therapeutic (PMX). These materials are sold for use in research and development, as well as in products manufactured by other diagnostic companies.

Why would Carlyle give up their advantage of being on the inside and able to access data early (through their newly aquired partnership with Spectral)? Why would they wait for top line numbers to be released publicly- and the new competition that could bring?

I imagine they will wait until final enrollment, but if they want it/ believe it's "the foundation" for Vantive's future- they'll make their move before top line numbers are released.
